Climbing to endless heights
My plane suddenly rolls and catches fire
My Engines are flaming, and fuel ignites
My Jet has become a living pyre
I hear my passengers scream in fear
My rudder jams and stabilizer snaps
Looks like an inverted chandelier
This wonder is now a death trap
The screams and wails pierce my ears
Cannot recover from a dive or stay upright
Plunging in the tumultuous sea appears
The only way to end this plight
All around me are sacred waters
I cross myself ready for the plunge
Will leave behind grieving sons and daughters
As My Jet makes her final lunge
Into the water and breaks apart
I hear the screams no longer
A piece of metal pierced my heart
I pray, O’ Lord make me stronger
To end the suffering of these souls
That was my only act of mercy
Over which I have the control
I know it will cause controversy
Was that suicide or a selfless act
Have I delivered them from consuming flames
I am sure of my sacrifice, a fact
When I hear someone call my name
It was my nightmare, my greatest fear
To lose my battle without a choice
When I fly again, I will revere
The wonder of flight and rejoice
That I am the Pilot of this Jet
My passengers are safe and sound
Thank you, Captain, she says, our eyes finally met
When my landing gears safely touch the ground
