Reborn

 Reborn

Broken by the raging eternal Storm

Nightmares have become the norms

Endless torment in my heart and mind

Through rough seas I was sailing blind

Inside me raged fire entwined with pain

Grinding like the clanks of mooring chain

Battle spears pierced my heart and soul

Fate had ordained my death in its scroll

A jolt of thunder revived my shattered heart

New life reborn, the old too quick to depart

My mind full of rage or my ancient pride

I covered the wide sea in a single stride

The quivering flames my soul ignite

Gods and demons before me flee in fright

My heart remains weary tethered to the sea

Destined to drown all who sailed with me

Eulogy

 Eulogy

He lay dead on a slab of stone

His gentle spirit to heaven has flown

In death, more beautiful he grew

His eyes foliage green moistened with dew

His cold cheeks still color of rose

His mighty heart in chilly winter froze

Moonlight shone to reveal a smile

Was he simply asleep, resting awhile?

Ethereal power around him glew

Shining like stardust of misty blue

Imprisoned in time he remained

Yet celestial fire in him never waned

Atonement

 Atonement

Adrift in the majestic turbulent sea

Waves raged like thunder, rained on me

The tide swept me in distant eerie song

Summoned me to sail to where I belong

Drifting far away from the craggy shore

The Beast inside me rage and roar

A mountain rose like an altar in sight

Beneath the clouds bathed in light

Was it Flames raging on its lofty peak?

Consuming me in the havoc it will wreak

Glowing embers around me sprouted flame

I heard her ethereal voice call my name

From the shadows I hear a mournful moan

I walk through darkness that chills my bone

My heart quivers, in my soul struggles loom

Threatened by shadow of imminent doom

Darkness swallows me, a heart of stone

Beckons me for my sins to atone

At her altar I lie naked and shed my blood

My Heart will burst like a pent-up a flood

Saved by a Hero

 Saved by a Hero

The hand of frost spreads stark and numb,

Chilling my heart, like a broken drum.

To this stillness, I'll surely succumb,

Feeling the hand of Fate caress and hum.

The frost extends, chilling my bone,

Scattered petals, the  wind has blown

From azure skies, I was thrown

Earthward bound to claim my throne.

My journey ended against my will,

Stars dimmed as I fell ill.

When my heart exploded, all stood still,

Did not know a heartbeat could kill

The rhythm falters, the drum's tired beat,

A fragile dance, now incomplete.

From the heart of adversity, a hero appears

With Skillful hands, he shouts, "Clear",

He battles time, he  battles fate,

Defying the god of Death at his gate

Electric whispers pierce the air,

Snatches me from the grasp of despair

The heart responds, igniting spark

Guided through endless nights dark.

In the realm where life and death convene,

Resolute spirit defies the unseen.

Through shocks and breaths, pulse returned

Victory earned, Death adjourned

Testament to human might,

Beacon in the darkest night.

Yet the vengeful gods did not let it pass

On the hero, they inflicted pain, Alas

Death sentence that grew in his blood

Illness progressed like a raging flood

His courage and loyalty will always shine

An epitaph, I will share on his shrine

He paid with his life to save mine

Crimson Tide

 Crimson Tide

The full moon's brave gaze

Swept the sky like an  ancient blaze

The wet sand mirrors its glow,

The sea is turbulent, the winds blow

She came in with the rippling tide

Broke free from the ocean in a stride

A wild bird, she cries in the gale

The winds blow and ruffle my sail

She steals my voice, fills my lung with roars,

I glide on the air, aloft I soar

The push of the current guides me to the surf's domain,

Where mysteries and power hum beneath the moon's silver reign.

Clouds scatter like ancient secrets, something wild

stirs in the air, yet gentle as a child

Pinned by her touch, I strive to break free,

for she is the ocean, a gentle plea

Escapes my lips, a whispered tale

The power of the winds and gale

She is the air in my burning chest

The heartbeat, the pulse within my breast

She is life itself, a whispered song,

A flame of crimson tide burning strong

When her touch was released, I erupted into flame

To my broken heart, she laid her claim

I became one with the ocean's, rolling with the waves

My mane is sea foam, my heart is a grave

Though I drowned, profusely bled

I was the drop that turned the ocean red

Fire Child

 Fire Child

Fire child, an angry spirit of great fury,

Rising from northern ashes, seeking glory

Rivers of molten light and rocks so red,

Stars dispersed as flames lick the sky o'erhead.

The Beast of Fire roars, in Ice's domain,

Aurora sparkles where death's shores remain.

Within me dwells darkness, old as the earth,

Talons' glimmer, wings' flutter, a fierce birth

My home's the forest, my abode the peak,

Shrine in ice, starlight's gaze, fierce thoughts I speak.

Fuming with rage, the light within me burned,

Shrank to star-size, the heavens brightly yearned.

My teeth are gnashing, claws sharp as swords gleam,

Wings whipping storms, fierce hurricanes extreme.

Betrayal beckons from the shadows near,

My heart's torn, arrows pierce with chilling fear.

My blood splatters, colors the darker night,

Brighter than the Aurora, fierce and bright.

Breath is scorching wind, whispers turn to red,

Falling from the sky, to earth's bosom spread.

I shatter into shards of fire and ice,

Covering earth with starlight's brilliant vice.

Joining night as a star, in skies I soar,

The world shattered when they heard my roar

Selfless Act

 Selfless Act

Petals carried on the wind, away

Your love falls into somber decay

If you love me, you’d know

Time has arrived to let me go

A selfless act, set me free,

This earthly prison is not my destiny

If love within you ever did churn

You would not let my heart burn

For in Death’s embrace, I shall find,

My true freedom, my own peace of mind.

Love, like a river, flows vast and wide,

Binding hearts, yet choices guide

To unclasp our tethered hands

In farewell’s act, courage stands

For if you love me, you'll surely see,

This anguished life is not for me

Maxwell O’REILLY

Farewell

 Farewell

In demons' grasp, the heart did seize,

A quiver of pain, a silent squeeze.

A jolt of pain, when the ICD shocked,

The incensed gods it severely mocked

Brought the heart back to sinus rhythm,

A remedy or a devilish exorcism.

With drugs in hand, a numbing balm,

A fleeting hope, a soothing calm.

Yet in the depths, the darkness crept

A whispering void, where demons wept

A desperate mind, in disbelief,

In silent cries, seeking relief.

Sought a panacea, injected into a vein,

The strongest dose to end the pain.

To break the chains that bind inside,

Keep your empathy and moral guide.

Alone, I will erase this needless strife,

And bid farewell to the “precious” life.

Maxwell O’REILLY

Cleopatra

 Cleopatra

In ancient land, Cleopatra prowls the night,

Her eyes aflame with wisdom's ancient light.

A warrior's heart, fierce and unyielding soul,

In battles fierce, her prowess takes its toll.

Her eyes aglow, like stars at night,

She claims her realm with prowess and might.

With fur as dark as midnight's endless shroud,

In battles fierce, she stands her ground

A silent huntress, fierce and resolute,

A valiant queen, yet incredibly cute.

Tender moments in her gaze reside,

A gentle heart beneath her warrior's pride.

A queen of strength, she rules the moonlit land,

Cleopatra's legend, written in the sand.

Her legacy, a tale of courage told,

Cleopatra's name in legends bold.

Through moonlit battles, she reigns supreme,

A warrior queen , the cat of dreams.

Sacrifice

 Sacrifice

Flames erupted, its tongues licking the Sky

As a thunder of dragons was flying by

A Dragon brushed his wing ‘gainst mine

In fierce embrace of glorious design

Lightning danced in clouds of majestic Ice

Rippled along visions of Doom or Paradise

Eternity flashed swiftly across my mind

Destiny with Visions of “Her” entwined

Fierce talons grappled with Mine

Ripping flesh and feathers so fine

Blood trickled in crimson rivers

Flesh tore wide, bones broke in slivers

A dragon with scales bright as the Sun

Took my talons in hers and rapidly spun

Her wings shielded my bleeding Heart

Our Destinies entwined, never apart

Together we shall fly again, will it suffice?

I glimpse a Vision of Heaven, a sacrifice?

Lofty Souls departed, never to look behind

Bones in the Highest Peaks are now enshrined

Snowflake

 Snow

Snowflakes falling from the sky so high,

A blanket of white, as the world does sigh.

Softly they land, a delicate art,

Creating a wonderland, a brand new start.

Each flake unique, a masterpiece small,

Glistening in sunlight, enchanting all.

Transforming the landscape, a magical sight,

Sparkling like diamonds in the soft moonlight.

Children play, laughter fills the air,

Building snowmen with great care.

Footprints mark trails where stories unfold,

In this frozen tapestry, a tale untold.

Nature's hush, a tranquil embrace,

As snow paints serenity across the space.

A reminder of beauty in quiet repose,

In winter's embrace, a wonder that glows.

Emblem

 Eagle

In skies above, where freedom soars,

An eagle glides, with graceful roars.

Its wings outstretched, it claims the air,

A symbol of strength beyond compare.

With eyes keen, it surveys the land,

A hunter's gaze, a ruler's stand.

Majestic and proud, in flight it soars,

A creature blessed with regal cores.

A messenger of heaven's heights,

In ancient myths, a sacred sight.

With feathers brushed by dawn's embrace,

It glides through time and boundless space.

In mountains high, its nest it keeps,

A guardian watching while all else sleeps.

A symbol of power, honor, and might,

The eagle's presence ignites the light.

In every beat, a heart so bold,

A tale of wonder, yet untold.

Atop the mountain, your resting place

A timeless emblem, that shines with grace

Maxwell O’REILLY

Broken Heart

 Broken Heart

My life ebbs like tides on the shore

In my core, pain and despair evermore

With each heartbeat, a chance so frail

My heart might yield to fate's cruel trail

In shadows cast, a heart's lament

The whispers of a life misspent

Besieged by a calamity unseen, unknown

A battle fought, in each inarticulate moan

Through days and nights, the burden bears

A weight of worries, endless cares

The hopes, the dreams, they start to fade

As heart disease takes its cruel cascade

In this fight, I'm left to face,

No light shines in the darkest place

No whisper of love, no gentle embrace

Waiting for everlasting Grace

In memories woven, what life must I endure?

For this disease, there is no cure.

For I must face this suffering alone

For whatever sin, I must atone

Time to raise my wings on high

Embrace Fate's cruelty, say goodbye

For in the face of fate's decree

Death will set my spirit Free

Kitten

 Kitten

In a house so cozy, a playful sprite,

A naughty kitten, with eyes so bright.

With mischief brewing in every paw,

He embarks on adventures, without a flaw.

From curtain climbing to vase attacks

This mischievous kitten leaves scratchy tracks.

He pounces and leaps with boundless glee,

Turning the world into his playground, you see.

Knocking over things, without a care,

He’ll swipe at your ankles, beware, beware!

A fluffy whirlwind, full of delight,

His antics, a source of endless sight.

Yet, when the day comes to an end,

He curls up gently, a newfound friend.

Purring softly, by your side,

He fills your heart with love and pride.

For though he’s naughty and loves to roam,

In your heart, he’s found his home.

So cherish this kitten, wild and swift

For his spirit and love are the sweetest gift

Eagle’s Feather

 Eagle’s Feathers

Winged watcher; a hunter of prey

Restless spirit on a sunless day

While the world is mired in decay

I soar toward the Sun; that’s my way

With eyes of flame, I view the sky

My wings stretched and head held high

On lifting winds, currents I fly

Feathers of silver; eyes of gold

Head white, ancient and old

My spirit fierce; forever bold

I leave bloodied feathers in my wake

Nature in my shadow trembles and quakes

The mountains rumble and Earth shakes

Echoing my quivering heart’s ache

A warrior picks two feathers; adorns his head

In the Sunlight they glisten red

Where I lie, cold and dead

My blood an offering to the gods was shed

My feathers now are symbol of the brave

Majestic and tall; they adorn my grave

The warrior still wears the gift I gave

With my dying breath; to heal and save

I am the Eagle; my gift is a feather

A symbol of love that binds us together

Through life’s struggles and stormy weathers

Our eternal bond will never break, never

Maxwell O’Reilly

Drowning

 Drowning

In the depths of azure skies, once flew,

An eagle soared, its dreams it knew.

With feathers bright, it graced the air,

A symbol of freedom, beyond compare.

But fate was cruel, and storms did brew,

A tempest wild, the eagle flew.

Caught in the current, it struggled in vain,

A drowning plight, in the ocean's domain.

With weakened wings, it fought the gale,

An unwelcome twist, a tragic tale.

As waves crashed down, hope slipped away,

The eagle's flight no longer held sway.

In the churning sea, its spirit sank,

A life extinguished, a solemn rank.

Yet, in its demise, a lesson it taught,

To cherish life's flight, for it's too soon naught.

The drowning eagle, a poignant sight,

A reminder of life's transient flight.

Let its fate implore, with every plea,

To cherish our time, and live it free.

Maxwell O’Reilly

Legend

In iron bonds of anguish, I was held so tight,

My wings, once spread wide, now a prisoner's plight.

But a fire within, a spirit unbound,

I vowed to break free, to reclaim sky's crown.

With talons that trembled and feathers so torn,

I fought against the cage, though my body was worn.

Each strike, a rebellion, a desperate plea,

To soar once again and feel the wind's glee.

At last, a shattering moment, the bars gave way,

I burst forth with vigor, into the golden ray.

A wounded ascent, pain etched in flight,

Yet freedom was mine, in the fading light.

To the mountain's proud peak, I climbed to the sky,

Where the world met the heavens, where eagles could fly.

With every beat of my heart, I touched the divine,

A dance with the winds, a symphony so fine.

Though wounded and frail, my journey found end,

On the mountain's proud summit, my heart did transcend.

As twilight embraced me, my spirit took flight,

A silhouette 'gainst stars, a beacon of might.

In the arms of the mountain, I found my repose,

A chapter of courage, where the eagle-heart chose.

To break down the cage, to reclaim the sky,

To live as a legend, forever to fly.

Maxwell O’REILLY

Eagle and dragon

 Eagle and Dragon

In realms where dreams and fables entwine

An Eagle and Dragon, an alliance divine.

Their friendship soared on wings of the storm

Two noble souls defy the norm

The eagle, swift and graceful in flight

The dragon, fierce, its flames alight

Together they danced in skies up high

Creating a bond that touched the sky.

In moments of triumph, side by side,

They faced the world with courage and pride.

Through storms and tempests, they'd never part

A friendship engraved in each other's heart.

The eagle, a symbol of freedom's embrace,

The dragon, protector of an ancient place.

In unity, they found strength and might,

Guided by Glory, their spirits took flight.

With trust as their compass, they'd explore,

New horizons they'd bravely soar.

Hand in talon and claw, they'd prevail,

While poets and bards carve the tale.

Maxwell O'Reilly

Earthquake

 Earthquake

In the earth's core, a force unseen,

The gods of ruin, ancient and keen.

Beneath the surface, their power lies

Shaking the world with fierce surprise

With trembling might, they rise from deep

Awakening landscapes from their sleep

The ground quakes and trembles in fear

As the vengeful gods draw near.

Their wrath, a tempest, ruthless and grand,

A dance of destruction across the land.

Towers crumble, and mountains rend,

As the gods' fury they fiercely send.

Amidst the chaos, a solemn breath,

For in the quake, we witness death.

Yet amidst the sorrow and the pain,

Resilience blooms, hope will remain.

Through ruins and rubble, screams of pain

Lost spirits, will never rise again

The face of the earth is terrible scarred

Those trapped within, killed or charred

Their screams die unheard

The god of death has the final word

Maxwell O’Reilly

Lion

 King

A story from the wild, my ancient home

A noble king does roam

With golden mane and regal grace

Majestic stride, he starts the chase

He rules with gentle might,

In the vast plains, a symbol of light.

His amber eyes gleam like fiery stars from above

Reflecting ancient wisdom, a legacy of love.

In the dusk of twilight, his roar fills the air

A symphony of courage, a call to all who dare.

He leads his Pride with prowess, a protector strong

Guiding his family, where they all belong.

With pride and loyalty, they stand side by side,

Through fierce storms and battles, together they abide.

In silence, he watches the world's endless dance

From sunrise to sunset, he gives nature a chance

His stealth and grace in every stride, a masterful display,

A true embodiment of courage in the face of each new day.

Though he may be fierce, his heart holds a gentle core

A symbol of compassion, forever to adore.

So let us learn from the lion's grand decree,

To stand tall and proud, yet lead with empathy.

In the realm of the wild, the lion's tale unfolds,

A symbol of courage, in stories yet untold.

Majestic and noble, his legend shall remain,

The mighty lion, forever in our hearts, shall reign.

Maxwell O’Reilly

Mirror

 Mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall

He's handsome, brilliant, standing tall.

In a world where envy's flames do burn,

He stands alone, a vision to discern.

With charm that makes stars grow shy,

Confidence and grace reaching high.

His mirror reflects a face so fair,

A symphony of features beyond compare.

Jealous eyes cast glances askance,

Struck dumb by his striking stance.

Through crowded streets and silent stares,

Whispers of awe carried by airs.

He strides with grace, a regal sight,

A radiant beacon of pure delight.

A humbled heart beneath the guise,

A soul that seeks to empathize.

For beauty's gift is just a part,

Of a man of substance, mind, and heart.

Maxwell O’Reilly

America

 America

In land of brilliant stars and stripes, I dwell

Beneath my wings, her vast oceans swell

From East to West, in unity, it gleams

A tapestry of hopes and valiant dreams

Courage etched on history's page

A land of promise, a beacon's sage

In freedom's embrace, together stand,

A diverse and united land

Upon her skies of freedom, I take flight,

A veteran of valor, with a heart bright

America, my love, land of the brave,

In your embrace, my honor I gave.

The Bald Eagle soars, a symbol of might

In its fierce gaze, our hopes take flight

Through stormy skies and tranquil grace,

My love for this land, none can erase

From my cockpit's view, I see the expanse,

Majestic mountains in a graceful dance

I served with honor, through trials we'd trod,

For this cherished country, under the hand of God.

In battles fought and victories won

In camaraderie, we stood as one

For love of this land, our spirits unite,

As stars and stripes shine, forever bright.

With wings of courage, we took to the air,

For freedom's cause, ever ready to dare

Land of the free, home of the brave,

In your embrace, my loyalty engrave.

Bald Eagle's flight, a symbol so true,

My love for you, forever renew

Maxwell O'Reilly

Etched memory

 Memory

In a silent world where days stretch long and wide

A sickly soul, in quiet torment, sighed

He watched life's joys, its tapestry unfurl,

Yet his weakened body kept him from the swirl

The little one’s laughter, a distant chime,

Echoed through the corridors of time

He longed to hold them close, to play his part,

illness bound him, cruel fate set them apart

As seasons danced, and moments slipped away,

He yearned to join their games, to share their day

His heart, once strong as Eagles above

Now fragile, broken as a dying dove,

But fate, unkind, withheld his grasp,

Tying him to shadows of the past.

A broken heart, a spirit worn and thin

He succumbed at last, ere his journey begins

In silent solace, he found his release,

As pain gave way to an eternal peace.

Though he could not walk life's path anew

His love forever in their hearts, they knew

In their memories, his spirit shall never depart

A timeless love, etched in their hearts

Maxwell O’Reilly

Darkness

 Darkness

Darkness looms, heavy and cold

Desolation's tale, a story untold

Whispers of sorrow, in the silent night

A heart weighed down, lost in its plight.

Gloomy clouds shroud the pale moon's face

Lonely echoes in an empty space

A soul adrift on a sea of despair,

Searching for solace, gasping for air.

Raindrops drizzle, like lonely tears,

A symphony of sadness, silent fears

Through the darkness, no glimmer remains

No chance for hope to break these chains

Dying slowly like a flicker of light

In despondent depths, death alights.

Yet broken souls can surely rise,

And fly back to sunlit skies.

Maxwell O’Reilly

Candelabra

 Candelabra

A noble sacrifice in a dim lit space

The candelabra extends its arms with grace

Droplets of wax burn its hands

His selfless role no one understands

Each waxen luminary's gentle dance

Ignites the stage, a luminous romance

The candelabra's arms, a cradle strong

Supporting flames that sing their silent song.

With every flicker, life's essence shared,

A gift of light, a testament declared,

Its molten sacrifice, a symbol true,

A beacon bright, in darkness it imbues.

In whispered tales of sacrifice and gleam,

A guiding light, in life's grand scheme

The candelabra’s gift is eternal light

For souls lost during the night

Birthday Gift

 Birthday Gift

My birthday arrived, time for a gift,

An aerial journey, a balloon to uplift.

In a wicker basket, above the green ground,

My balloon took flight, where beauty is found.

Under clear skies and the sun's golden kiss,

A dream-filled adventure, pure moments of bliss

A cherished present from those I hold dear

Watching and waving as I soared without fear

I floated like whispers on zephyr's soft breath,

Through lush valleys and landscapes beneath.

Majestic mountains, steep grandeur they own,

In their shadowed embrace, secrets unknown.

With birds as my partners, we waltzed through the air,

Nature's wonder before us, beyond all compare.

The world painted in hues of enchanting delight,

A breathtaking vista, in effortless flight.

Descending brought a twist, a journey to dread,

My eyes held a sorrow, words left unsaid.

The mountains stood proud, their beauty so vast,

Silently, I leapt, like a memory from the past.

A heart-wrenching finale, a tragic adieu,

The skies shed their tears, mourning too.

Bittersweet ending, a story complete,

Sorrow released, heartache now fleet.

In the arms of the mountains, it’s vast dome,

Finally, I found my welcoming home

Maxwell O'Reilly

Black Hawk

 Clash with Death

In the azure skies, I climb, I soar,

My helicopter, rotors roar,

Through clouds and dreams, it flies so high,

The enemy's plans, I couldn't defy.

A missile fired, messenger of Doom,

I’m hit, I’m hit, fire and smoke plume,

A sudden twist, a tragic clash,

A dance with destiny, a deadly dash.

My wings falter at gravity's breath,

In that moment, a dance with death.

Amongst the stars, my soul departs,

Leaving behind shattered hearts,

Memories linger, tears they shed,

In the wreckage of dreams, hope now fled.

I remain an Eagle in the skies I braved,

My courage, and the lives I saved,

In solemn honor, I shall always keep,

The memory of my crew, in valor they sleep.

Maxwell O’REILLY

Inferno

 "Inferno"

Born from inferno's fiery pyre,

A creature with vengeance, a burning desire.

With eyes ablaze like molten gold,

His wrath untamed, his heart bold.

He prowls through shadows, fueled by ire,

A tempest of fury, flames soaring higher.

His roar echoes through the darkest night,

With every step, destruction in his sight.

A conflagration of rage, relentless and dire,

A blazing spirit, fueled by hellish fire

Beware, mortal souls, should you dare to face,

His immortal wrath, his infernal embrace.

In the depths of fury, his spark will not expire,

Humans grovel and stoke his ire.

Yet, the tale of the demon remains untold,

In the realm where embers dance and scorch the cold.

An eternal guardian, with fury to inspire,

An angry demon of fire, a force to worship or admire.

Maxwell O’REILLY

Cadence

 Cadence

Racing, roaring, a tumultuous fight

Cadence once steady, a tragedy's bite.

A symphony wild, within the chest resounds,

Like thunder's roar, its call surrounds.

Quivering as leaves in storm's fierce embrace,

Till fragile echoes shatter, leaving no trace.

A pane of glass, once crystal and clear

Now fractured, broken, the end draws near

Gurgling blood streams, a crimson tide,

Life's fragile essence, no longer can hide.

Now stilled, it claims its final rest,

A journey unfurled, put to the ultimate test.

In shattered fragments, unfolds the tale,

Of resilience and strength where soul sets sail.

Though pain lingers, my heart eventually dies

A testament to strength, the Phoenix in me shall rise

Maxwell O'Reilly

Solace

 Solace

In chambers dim, I once did thrive,

Life's rhythm flowed through veins alive

A silent ailment, it’s whispers grow

Became an indomitable foe

Once unwavering, now I falter

A dance disrupted, a rhythm altered

A symphony of beats, a song of grace

Now echoes with a much faster pace

Each beat a struggle, each breath a fight,

Palpitations' bite, in the quiet night

Amid life's fragile, fleeting tune,

Death's whisper hums, a somber croon.

Silent intruder, it takes its toll

A battle within, ravaging my soul

Though shadows gather, a glimmer gleams,

The end draws near, surreal it seems

A broken heart, no chance to mend

Loyal to your love to the bitter end

Silent sorrows, like heavy shrouds

Evaporate in gently on misty clouds

In shattered echoes of love, once strong

A broken heart sings its mournful song

Torn, tattered, it bears the pain

A wounded soul in a world of rain

Memories dance, like fragile glass

Reflecting moments that could not last

Aching void, a gaping space

Where once a smile lit up her face

Hear my plea, my heartfelt call

Smile for me ere the fall

The memory my heart shall bear,

Your happiness, a balm to wear.

Though Death has torn us apart,

Find solace and mend your heart.

Maxwell O’Reilly

I am the Phoenix

 Phoenix

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,

Such notions, they wither and rust.

From ashes to fire, a brilliant blaze,

Leaving the sun in awe-struck daze

In ashes' embrace, my body lies

Fiery spirit dimmed, pain fills my eyes

Suffering whispers through the silent air,

Desolation remains, utter despair

From death's cold grip, I soar

Emerging reborn, my essence to restore

Soaring on wings of valor and might

Triumphant ascent from darkest night.

With flames reignited, I ascend so high,

Defying shadows, touching the sky,

A tale of resilience, a phoenix’s dance

From agony's depths to a battle stance

Ashes to fire, fire to flame

Eternal Phoenix is my true name

Maxwell O’Reilly

Hades resignation

 Hades

In the depths of shadows, I've reigned so long

A kingdom of silence, where departed souls belong

I am the God of death, a somber King

My Kingdom a Silent Tomb, where no muses sing

Aching weariness grips my ancient heart

A longing for peace, a fresh brand new start.

A decision made, a new path to find

To quit this misery I’ve made up my mind

As god of death, I've held the key,

Guiding souls to torment in eternity.

Yet solitude weighs upon my soul,

A relentless struggle, a heavy toll.

With a heavy heart, I left my throne

Seeking solace on my own

To find release from this eternal chore,

Embrace the void forevermore.

With bated breath, I walked the land,

Seeking an end, a destiny grand.

But death's embrace eluded me,

A fate as unyielding as the sea.

In realms of light, I searched in vain,

My desire for peace remained a chain.

I found no respite, no rest in life,

Only the echoes of endless strife.

Life above was not my place

A void within, in darkness embrace

Back in my realm, I took my rightful place,

Embracing shadows, the familiar space.

For death and I are one, forever tied,

Inseparable, reign side by side.

So here I stand, a god resigned,

To guide the departed, souls entwined.

My longing silenced, my purpose clear,

Hades, the guardian of all held dear.

Transcendence

 Transcendence

On a lofty cliff, I build my nest,

My heart longs to travel West.

I touch the wind, with talons and dreams,

My wings span the heavens, it seems.

The azure sky my home, I soar,

My wings grow stiffer with gore.

My eyes, like beacons, keen and bright,

Reflect realms of endless height.

In skies my brothers soar and dance,

they claim the sky in freedom's trance.

I am the symbol of both might and grace,

Glory's emblem, I embrace.

Yet as the sun slowly sets,

My heart quivers, my brow sweats.

I let go of my fleeting breath,

Embracing triumph, I face my death.

For even eagles, bold and grand,

Must someday yield to God’s hand.

I spread aloft, my wings of gold,

My dimmed eyes grow tired and cold.

Glassy, they shatter and gleam,

As I join the gods with my final scream.

Warrior

 Warrior

Beneath the Summer moon's light

I roamed the land, fierce in a fight

Born of two worlds' embrace,

Unveiled a legacy that time could not erase.

Upon the plains, wild winds whispered tales,

My spirit soared, riding the endless trails.

A warrior's heart beat within my chest,

An Eagle's spirit that could not rest

Through battles and changes, I stood tall,

Empire's end marked the rise of my call.

Empire of the Summer Moon, a story told,

Of my glory and adventure bold.

Under stars and sun, my story  blooms,

A testament to strength, across endless looms.

Aloft

 Aloft

When hope flicker and slowly dies

I soar upon the canvas of cerulean skies

Aloft in mysterious realms where only eagles dare,

My wings of steel carry me in the air

Unfurling wings of courage together strong

The Eagle scream and sing my song

Above the mountains, in valleys deep,

A dance with the clouds, a secret to keep.

Aloft, where souls and aspirations play

In sunlit expanse, together they find their way,

Gravity's hold, they defy,

Reaching for stars that grace the sky.

With every beat of feathered grace,

A symphony of flight takes place,

In silence vast, where dreams are spun,

Aloft, the spirit and sky are one,

As time stands still in azure embrace,

A dance of wonder, in boundless space.

Aloft, where whispers of my broken heart,

Find echoes in the heavens, long to depart

A symphony of hope, a timeless art,

Aloft, we soar, Eagle and pilot, never apart
