Eternal Spring

 Eternal Spring

In winter's shivers, frozen and numb,

Once a bird of freedom, broken have become

My wings, once strong, unable to rise,

A heart that soared, now laden with sighs.

The sunlight's warmth fails to reach,

This frozen heart, this desolate breach

Each frosty morn, a relentless sting,

My shattered dreams, a broken wing.

Alone I dwell in relentless cold,

My song, a dirge, bleak and old.

Through despair's veil, anger swells,

In icy chains, my rage compels.

My spirit tormented, ceaseless yearning,

For that elusive spring's returning.

Hope, a treacherous flicker, struggles to cling,

To the promise of an eternal spring.

A frozen heart, a bird of despair,

Trapped in winter's relentless glare.

Seeking solace, a fiery ring,

To thaw this heart, to mend this wing.

Yet, in this freeze, a relentless fight,

For warmth, for the return of light.

In solitude's grasp, I ponder and sing,

Dreaming of thaw, the eternal spring.
