Thanksgiving
In this land where courage blooms, I stand grateful and strong,
Beneath the Stars and Stripes, dreams soar along.
With wings of service, in skies both clear and bold,
A medevac pilot, each life, a story to be told.
Grateful for every heartbeat, for moments serene and wise,
When life's fragility met grace in unforeseen skies.
Not amidst the whirling blades, nor in the chopper's flight,
But in the arms of my crew, in love's gentle light.
For America's embrace, for flights that reached the sky,
For lives held in my hands, for each saved, none left to die
In this season of thanks, my heart speaks its joy
For family's tender embrace, for Sunny and Ryder, my girl and boy
Through trials and triumphs, through moments big and small,
Thanksgiving whispers, a hymn, embracing all.
For the land I call home, for each breath I draw,
For love's enduring presence, its warmth, it awe
