Doom

Harbinger of Doom
Dispel this everlasting gloom
The beast in me is asleep
Lurking in the undulating Deep
Frozen in my icy grave
Entranced in a dreamless wave
I have constantly bled
Not yet dead?
Sounds like the end of the world
Ceaseless traveler in stillness whirled
Soul burning, endless sigh
Will I ever be able to die?

Eagle of the Sun

In the maelstrom of my beating wing
I saw Man and Beasts bow to a “King”
Tremble in horror from his approach
Harnessed to his bloody wheeled coach
Was Man, the child of mortal clay
Limbs bleeding life leaking away

Riding on the back of a mountain storm
I flew into a fury, of a majestic form
Lit by ethereal fire, my wings ablaze
The Sun eclipsed by my piercing gaze
Like a falling star, I charged that “King”
Not caring what proud Death may bring

I broke the chains that tethered Man
The beasts were free, some flew or ran
My voice rumbled in a raging roar
Set Man free or it will be perpetual war
The King hissed, from me there is no escape
I am God, he turned into his spectral shape

Face my wrath, or before me cower
His ravenous mouth open to devour
I fought with all my strength and power
Wrestled with him till daybreak hour
Death claimed his tribute, a solitary flower
Bled into the heavens in a crimson shower

Alpha

Moonlight shines on my Silver fur
Growling, I run free, fast as a blur
My Howl rivals the glimmering moon
Fearing my icy gaze you tremble and swoon
The tundra frozen, eternally vast
My steps rumble from ancient past
I lead my brethren and protect my pack
We are One, the white, silver, and black
I am not your trophy to hunt and kill
To roam freely is my ultimate will
Mortal beware of my fangs and claw
I am the Alpha; that is the Law

Gladiator

I call upon you to duel in the ring
I am the Champion, you “mighty” King
Unsheathe your sword and swing
At me with all your might could bring
I challenge you, all your wrath on me to fling
Hurl destruction from your bow and sling
To your Throne you could no longer cling
You are no match for my fiery Wing

Eagle and Wolf

A lonely howl I heard in the wind
The Beast snarled and widely grinned
Fangs as white as ancient ivory tusk
Gleamed brightly in the foggy dusk
I plummeted from the sky as a stone
Grabbed with my talons the fur and bone
Talons sharp and gigantic claws
Clashed with the snarling teeth and paws
Locked together in a deadly embrace
Neither will let go or face disgrace
Feathers flying mangled with blood and fur
My life flashed before me as if in a blur
Fate decided, we joined in body and soul
Our destiny was thus written in ancient scroll
The Beast and the Bird are together entombed
Exalted with Power or to Extinction doomed

Mercy

A shadow had eclipsed the majestic Sun
His Wings spread wide, his flight had begun
Celestial lights around him are shining bright
Illuminated the universe in the darkest night
His amber eyes are shining as a blood moon
the bravest hearts with fear will swoon
His fearless soul strikes reverence and Awe
With every strike of his mighty claw
Breathing fire to scorch and burn
In every swoop and every turn
Fear me, he screeched and scratched
A tiny Human in his claws he snatched
A delicious feast that will satisfy his hunger
Or revenge to assuage his bloody anger
The Human killed his clan and stole his treasure
Was that blood thirst or simply for his pleasure?
Mercy, cried the fearful Human in panting gasps
Revenge, cried the Dragon in an irritated rasp
The Human cowered, surrendered to his bloody fate
Mercy, Mighty Dragon, echoed the Dragon’s mate
Release your claws and let the Human go
Show Mercy, he will no longer be your foe

Sacrifice

Flames erupted, its tongues licking the Sky
As a thunder of dragons was flying by

A Dragon brushed Her wing ‘gainst mine
In fierce embrace or a glorious design

Lightning danced in clouds of majestic Ice
Rippled along visions of Doom or Paradise

Eternity flashed swiftly across my mind
Destiny with Visions of “Her” entwined

Fierce talons grappled with Mine
Ripping flesh and feathers so fine

Blood trickled in crimson rivers
Flesh tore wide, bones broke in slivers

A dragon with scales bright as the Sun
Took my talons in hers and rapidly spun

Her wings shielded my bleeding Heart
Our Destinies entwined, never apart

Together we shall fly again, will it suffice?
I glimpse a Vision of Heaven, a sacrifice?

Lofty Souls departed, never to look behind
Bones in the Highest Peaks are now enshrined

Memory

I am a memory, fleeting and sweet
In the book of life, just a blank sheet
No wonderous feat did I achieve
Or broken hearts behind did leave

A memory that cannot whisper or speak
A wind that blew, tumultuous yet bleak
Sleep, in your dreams now you will see
A blissful dream, a sweet little memory

When you awaken, I am your morning dew
When you sail, I am your faithful crew
A lonely feather in the wind wafting by
With majestic wings, I am flying high

You saw me getting tired you did not care
You wanted more time for us to share
You watched me suffer, wither away
Yet you prayed to make me stay

Let go, it is time for me to walk alone
No rest, no peace I have ever known
Close your eyes now and let me be
Just a sweet little Memory

Seduction

Your poisonous fangs sank into my flesh
releasing an intoxicating venom
to which there was no possible cure

Your forked tongue flick and thresh
Passionately, calling me, sweet Adam
With promises to entrance and lure

Captivated, I fall into your trap afresh
Oh, the Sin we enjoyed, dear Madam
My untimely demise it will ensure

Magical Star

I feel cold, I tremble
There is no air in my burning lungs
Only everlasting suffocation
There are no dreams to come true
Only drowning and being lost forever
I always stay awake watching the Stars
They never invite me to accompany them
On their everlasting journey
Bright lights and lost souls
Wait, Magical Star
I am coming home

Revenge

Enough Bloodshed
Your hands carry the stain of History,
Never to forgive or forget
I cannot look my child in the eye and explain
Why is there so much hatred in her little world
Why is she a 'target' of your inhumanity
Her small body cannot withstand the burden of a bullet or shell

Enough bloodshed
You burnt my home the other day
But I lived You burnt the neighbor’s orchard
But he lived
I had a camera; it seemed ‘menacing’ to you
Unlike your fighter jets
It seems cowardly that you hide behind the steel
That I faced with my bare chest

Enough bloodshed
My face carries the scars of your hatred
My body carries the marks of your whip
But I lived to hear my child laugh
For another day

More bloodshed
I walked the blazing streets
Looking for a ‘sign of life’
Among the burning debris
I pulled out a 'headless child'
The clothes looked familiar
The smell of burning flesh mixed with the sweet kiss
Her mother bestowed on her little hand
The bracelet had a ‘name’
When I read the bloody letters,
I swore Revenge

Tiny Tent

Snow as hot as fire Melts the flesh In dead winter cold The brittle bones break In a shiver As the sky falls On a tiny tent The wind, a gust blows Like spirals of fire Red as blood Biting as the cold As the sky falls On a tiny tent A child sleeps dreaming Of a cozy fireplace To warm his bare feet While trudging in the snow Choking with a tear While the World is oblivious As the sky falls On the tiny tent Max O'Reilly

Troy

Let me proclaim to the world the Wrath
That took a “City” on its raging path

Magnificent walls are crumbling down
Until nothing was left of the glorious town

That once was “Troy” an ancient wonder
By treacherous hands was torn asunder

The “gods” stood watching the slaughter
As its people were denied food and water

When the “barrel bombs” destroyed the land
The Church, the Mosque could not withstand

Crumbled into rubble, the glorious Dome
Destroyed, the “City” I call my “home”

Once prosperous is now a “tomb”
As “Fire and Death” in the sky loom

The “gates of hell” has opened wide
They watch us bleed and look aside

No help in sight; why this “delay”?
Where are all the “friends”, why betray?

A country is destroyed ‘torn to shreds’
Dead bodies, limbs, and severed heads

Litter the streets as destruction spreads
Women and children died; refugees fled

Did the “gods” decree this retribution?
For destroying “Troy” there is no absolution

Eternal Spring

Frozen in the shivers of winter
A heart that used to sing
His wings too weak to soar
His heart too weak to beat
The sunshine could not thaw
The frost on his broken wing
Dwelling in utter solitude
His song is always a dirge
His spirit is tormented with
Searching for the eternal spring

Deliverance

As I give up my dying breath
A machine forces it back into my chest
My lungs are burning as the air Is forced back and forth
Forcing me to breathe Into suffocation
As my heart gives his last quiver
An electric shock forces it to beat into a mechanical rhythm
Unnatural life not worth living
A prisoner in endless pain
Why do you imprison me?
Mortal, it is not for you to decide
Once my creator has called me
My soul longs to be free
You keep it entrapped Inside my dead body
Why do you keep me?
Mechanically breathing
I want to soar high
Hasten to unite with God
Mortal, let go Death is my Deliverance

As I lay Dying

Voices in the distance
Become whispers
Laughter fades into whimpers
As I lay dying
My scream is silent
Yet I scream
My dream is silent
Yet I dream
As I lay dying
My lungs swell with mechanical breath
Waiting for deliverance
 Longing for death
As I lay dying
Silhouettes around me hover
Like a vision; like a dream
Sorrow in their blood-shot eyes
I utter a groan, a scream
As I lay dying
My voice dies unheard
As the breathing machine
Mechanically breathes life
Into my still chest as I lay dying
