Child of Snow and Fire

The beast inside me raged

The spilled blood spoke

Death is merely a change

A greater voyage

Into the heart of fury

A bird cage opened in my chest

The trapped Phoenix has flown away

From the ashes of my dreams

From my unraveling mind

My cries made the stars bleed

My mind summoned flames

Kneeling in the snow

I extinguished my fire

My breath came out in white wispy clouds

Voices soared on the wind

 Spoke of sacrifice

Spoke of light and dreams

A mausoleum to vanished world

I found my voice

Whispered shadows became an image

I was a child again

I untied my hair

It formed stardust

Did not feel the cold any more

For I was Fire

I was Fury

I was flame

And I was burning

in the moonlight snow
