Troy

Let me proclaim to the world the Wrath
That took a “City” on its raging path

Magnificent walls are crumbling down
Until nothing was left of the glorious town

That once was “Troy” an ancient wonder
By treacherous hands was torn asunder

The “gods” stood watching the slaughter
As its people were denied food and water

When the “barrel bombs” destroyed the land
The Church, the Mosque could not withstand

Crumbled into rubble, the glorious Dome
Destroyed, the “City” I call my “home”

Once prosperous is now a “tomb”
As “Fire and Death” in the sky loom

The “gates of hell” has opened wide
They watch us bleed and look aside

No help in sight; why this “delay”?
Where are all the “friends”, why betray?

A country is destroyed ‘torn to shreds’
Dead bodies, limbs, and severed heads

Litter the streets as destruction spreads
Women and children died; refugees fled

Did the “gods” decree this retribution?
For destroying “Troy” there is no absolution
