Mother

 Mother

To the mother who vanished, my words take flight,

A story of forgiveness, bathed in gentle light.

Your choice to leave, I hold no ire or pain,

In your absence, I've grown, no bitterness remains.

May you find forgiveness, within your own heart,

Release the burdens, let healing start.

I harbor no anger, no resentment's trace,

In my soul, there's only a tranquil embrace.

You missed my pilot's wings, soaring high,

Amongst the clouds, reaching for the sky.

But illness came, a tempest's cruel rain,

And my wings were clipped, causing endless pain.

Now, I have children, two treasures so dear,

Their love for you, constant, crystal clear.

No matter the past, they'd welcome your grace,

For love knows no boundaries, it finds its place.

My father, he tried, to fill your role,

In his way, he played a significant role.

I regret the moments I lashed out, it's true,

For he did his best, as I've learned to do.

Perhaps the best you could give was to part,

To follow your path, find your own heart.

I'm grateful you won't witness my fading light,

But remember, forgiveness shines so bright.

In the tapestry of life, we all have our part,

Though you left early, you shaped my heart.

To the mother who departed without a trace,

I offer forgiveness, with love and grace.
