Wings of Eternal Flame

 Wings of Eternal Flame

Part 1 - God of Flight

In the cosmic chronicle of a Lion’s embrace,

Yet Zeus, in his deception, tore them apart,

Umbral feathers replaced the golden art.

Through shadows and trials, Maxwell persevered,

His spirit unbroken, destiny revered.

Astral wings unfurled in Regulus' embrace,

A cosmic flame in the vastness of space.

His chosen companion, a lion with Eagle’s sight

When his wings falter; the Griffin’s might.

Gives him the strength to recuperate in peace,

Astrion loyalties never falter or cease.

Unraveling the tapestry, embracing cosmic death.

From void emerges, a cosmic void's embrace,

Nyxion, the herald of eternal darkness' grace.

Tendrils of shadow, cosmic corruption's plight,

Stars distorted, swallowed in the eternal night.

A legion of shadows, at Nyxion's command,

Minions of cosmic chaos, a darkened band.

In Nyxion's grip, celestial order strains.

Maxwell and Astrion, their unity tried,

As Nyxion's darkness in the cosmos abides.

A formidable challenge, their powers entwined,

In the cosmic struggle, destinies defined.

But the Eternal Flames persist, burning bright.

A vow against darkness, a celestial fight.

With each flicker, the flames resist the night,

Helios' power, a relentless cosmic light.

Eternal Flames dance in the celestial choir,

Defying Nyxion, kindling a cosmic fire.

Minions recoil as the radiance expands,

Helios, unwavering, with fiery commands.

The vow echoes in the cosmic domain,

Darkness challenged, Eternal Flames reign.

In the cosmic tapestry, a tale of defiance spun,

Helios and Eternal Flames, an eternal union.

Against Nyxion's grasp, they stand,

A testament to the cosmic forces at hand.

In the cosmic struggles, Maxwell stands tall,

Wings of Eternal Flames, his celestial call.

Helios, the Sun, lends his radiant grace,

Igniting brilliance, a cosmic embrace.

Maxwell's wings, ablaze with eternal fire,

In the dance of flames, he ascends higher.

Helios' gift, a cosmic alliance,

Wings of brilliance, a celestial reliance.

The Wings of Eternal Flame, a fusion divine,

Maxwell and Helios, their destinies entwine.

A cosmic tryst in the realms of light,

Maxwell soars, guided by Helios' might.

Mayday

 Mayday Mayday

Up, to the boundless skies, to the endless blue

My silver wings carried me high as I flew

My craft climbed to embrace the rising Sun

Rainbow of lights swirled and joined as one

With speed I climb, into the turbulent air

As high as my restless spirit would dare

Chasing the wind, hovering in a celestial dance

The clouds around me float as if in a trance

I left the Earth behind to disappear in shame

The sky beckons me, a flickering flame

My soul longs to break the surly bonds

Atop the mountain peaks, and soar beyond

My wings are washed with the beams of the sun

Alas my flying days are finally done

As the Elysian Field before me Unfold

I know that my plane had mechanically stalled

Full thrust, pitch down; that is the norm

The plane shakes and flies into the raging storm

Mayday, Mayday. Now, I will meet my fate

No grave for an Eagle, only a nest at the gate

Of immortality, as I transform with grace

Into a majestic Eagle, my destiny will embrace

While in silence, the Angels softly trod

I climbed into the heavens to touch the face of god

Fledgling

 Fledgling

In gardens of longing, where yearnings entwine,

A bird returns to this space, divine.

To the old tree, where memories accrue,

He seeks solace, a bond so true.

He peers at homes, now crumbling stones,

Then takes to skies with melodies in tones.

His wings, delicate, in shades so brown,

Defy gravity, don a golden crown.

In streets abandoned, he lands each day,

On thorny perches, where sorrows sway.

Woes carve marks on its feet's stance,

A soul in longing's fleeting dance.

Perched on branches, under moon's soft light,

From ancient balconies, a mystical sight.

Fate's chosen bird, in graceful flight

Sends heartfelt tunes, with love alights

Exchange of words and silent embrace,

Gazes so deep, in love's sacred space.

Longing stares reveal secrets in keep,

In profound shadows, their hearts do leap.

Trees stand witness, houses, silent domain,

Love's song whispered in yearning's refrain.

His passion, longing, a tale so true,

Witnessed by all, love's eternal hue.

Love blooms like spring's floral flight,

A fledgling's gift, a token so bright.

Before frost claims its chilling tower,

Their love's tale lingers, a cherished flower.

Christmas

 Christmas

Amidst the hush of silent halls, the season is drawing near,

No laughter echoing, no flitting steps, no music clear

Alone, the lights twinkle, a solitary sight,

A heart heavy with the absence of that joyous delight.

No children's laughter to fill the quiet air,

No warm embraces in this solitude, no care.

The tree stands adorned, yet the spirit feels bare,

With no family or support, the weight is hard to bear.

Each ornament hung tells a story, a memory shared,

Echoes of moments, in the stillness ensnared.

The ache of absence, an unrelenting pain

No balm for the soul, in this solitary bane

The season's jingle seems a distant faint melody,

As the terminal beats weigh on, a solemn harmony.

In this yearning for company, in the cold's embrace,

A heart longs for comfort, in this solitary space.

But amidst the desolation and the quiet's reign,

A glimmer of hope, a flickering flame remains.

For within the heart, a love steadfast and true,

Guiding, embracing, in the solitude's milieu.

Though the path seems desolate, the light dim,

The spirit's resilience finds solace within.

A yearning for togetherness, a longing profound,

Yet strength resides, in resilience found.

In the echo of memories and the unwavering love,

The spirit finds solace, ascending above.

A Christmas spent in Heavens, yet not entirely so,

For the love within, forever a sustaining glow.

Star and I

 A Star and I

Under celestial canvas, a Star and I,

Whisper secrets as she lights the sky.

In the night's embrace, we slowly dance

Amid suns and galaxies, our shared expanse

Each twinkle above, a tale she shares,

Galactic magic in cosmic affairs.

Among far constellations, we find our rhythm

A celestial conversation, transcending time.

She, ancient witness to the universe's tale,

Heard my pleas for love to prevail.

'Midst her cosmic dance, a longing glance,

For a partner's touch in a cosmic trance.

I speak of dreams, in the night's embrace,

Journeys taken in this boundless space.

Laughter echoing, wild and free,

Cherished moments by land and sea.

I share secrets, untold in lore,

Heartache that rattles to the very core.

She whispers hopes that paint the sky,

Stars dancing in realms up high.

She feels warmth in my embrace's sway,

Love transcending night and day.

As I soar, in my craft's span,

To brush her cheek, in her laughing span.

In this celestial escape's serene sphere,

I bared my dreams, loss, and fear.

Amid stars' timeless reign,

My unique story, joy, and pain.

I bid her goodnight, as go to sleep

As I fall from Heaven, to the peaceful deep.

Bald and Golden Eagles

 Bald and Golden Eagles

Across the realms where winds do play,

Two Eagles soared, both night and day.

Bald and golden, in skies they soared,

In synchronized flight, their spirits poured.

The bald eagle, proud in snowy white,

With eyes that gleamed in morning light.

The golden eagle, feathers ablaze,

Regal beauty in sun's warming blaze.

Their paths converged in realms above,

Hearts entwined in a flight of love.

Amidst clouds' dance, a wondrous weave,

A bond untold, none could perceive.

Beneath the heavens, guardian stance,

Together they flew, a majestic dance

Their wings entwined in graceful glide,

Protecting the realm where they reside.

Through valleys deep and mountains high,

Their valor soared, painting the sky.

Symbol of America in the Sun’s display

Feathers swaying in the winds at play

Bestowed a gift to warriors of land

Freedom in skies, they truly found

A bond that soared beyond all fear,

Eagles' and warriors forever near.

In vast expanse, where dreams take flight,

Their story glows in golden light.

Bald and golden, forever free,

Their valor an emblem for all to see.

Magical Journey

 Magical Journey

In the wake of Ireland's famine and fall,

Prince Maxwell, answered destiny's call.

From ashes of a city once so grand,

He bore the weight of fate's demanding hand.

A leader born, with burden deep,

Through stormy seas, he'd steadfastly keep.

With clan in tow, through perils dire,

His heart ablaze with Irish fire.

In lands unknown, they roamed and strayed,

Guided by stars, where destinies played.

Maxwell stalwart, amidst the throng,

Carried Ireland's hope, in an epic song.

Through trials fierce, and battles dire,

His spirit fueled by a burning fire.

In Syria’s realm, a Queen he found,

A love that echoed with resound.

In the heart of a city, where magic enfold,

Maxwell's heart, by her beauty, was controlled.

Their love, a tale amid war's array,

In whispered moments, their hearts held sway.

Her city was at war with a tyrant king

His army of terror, death did bring

His clan and hers fought together

And broke the King bondage tether

Though their love has been grand

Their kin saw differences, did not understand

Each with a responsibility could not be shun

Moved to live under a different sun

Fat’s harsh decree could not be swayed,

Duty called; his path was laid.

He sailed again, with a heavy heart,

Torn apart, love and destiny's chart.

Guided by gods, his quest ne'er ceased,

To find a realm where his people's feast.

American shores, where destiny lied,

The land where Irish dreams abide.

Through prophecies dark and struggles grand,

Prince Maxwell forged an enduring stand.

A refugee no more, but a leader true,

In the tapestry of America, his legacy grew.

Maxwell, refugee from Irish domain,

In tales and legends, his courage reigns.

A hero's journey, a nation's birth,

In the annals of time, his valor's worth.

Bucket list

 Bucket list

With every heartbeat, my time draws near

Time to fulfill my dreams, conquer my fears

A list not of tasks, but comforting lore

I want to fulfill, I yearn to explore

My days of flight are long gone

My wings clipped before the blazing Sun

I soared high; experienced the Fall

Like Icarus, my wings faltered not my soul

I long for flight, to run with the wind

Pour my heart in the verses I penned

To see the northern lights before I die

To dance with the Eagles in the sky

A thousand verses, tales in heartfelt rhyme,

Each poem a story, capturing time.

Glide amidst the clouds, where dreams take flight,

A glider embracing the boundless height.

Cross all states, where American stories unfold,

In landscapes vast, with histories untold.

Witness Eagles soar, their majestic cry,

A symbol of freedom beneath the sky.

Run with the wolves, in nature's wild dance,

Echoes of freedom, a spirited chance.

Provide a haven, secure and warm,

For children dear, sheltered from the storm.

In these desires, life's quest beats strong

Each aspiration, an eternal song

May these aspirations, bright and pure,

Resound through time, forever endure.

Maxwell O’Reilly

Cowboy

 Cowboy

In snow capped peaks my ranch finds its place

Nature’s haven where wild spirits embrace

A cowboy amid untamed lands I roam

Where grizzlies, wolves and cougars find a home

My herd's not penned, no fences confine,

They roam with the wind, in freedom they shine.

Each soul finds solace, in open skies wide,

Under the stars, where trust does abide.

The grizzly, majestic, with power untamed,

Wolves in their packs, no spirit's constrained.

Cougars, stealthy, in shadows they glide,

All creatures together, side by side.

A bond unspoken, a silent accord,

In this wild haven, where trust is adored.

Nature's orchestra, in harmonious tune,

Where every soul, under the same moon.

For in this place, where freedom's the key,

All life finds shelter, wild and free.

Eagles soar high, a majestic flight,

Visiting freely, by day or by night.

Their wings grace the sky, a dance in the air,

Nesting in peace, knowing I care.

Amidst the mountains, a bond we share,

With creatures wild, in this haven fair.

In these peaks where snow blankets the ground,

A cowboy's trust, in nature's surround.

With every creature, a pact I’ve made,

In this wild sanctuary, our hearts won't fade.

For on this ranch, nature's tapestry weaves,

A place where every spirit believes.

Wild and free, in harmony's song,

A cowboy's life, where all belong.

Maxwell O’Reilly

Ares

 Ares

Stay and mourn at the tomb of the dead

Where raging Ares fought and bled

His doughty spirit whirls with a fiery sphere

Golden helmed, mighty with a spear

His blazing steed carries him to the sky

He leads battles, where Eagles cry

In ancient skies, the Olympian did roam

Warrior, protecter, in his celestial home

In modern skies, new Ares takes flight,

Commanding the Black Hawk, valor in sight.

Amidst the storms, where thunder meets roar,

A warrior soars, defending the shore.

With prowess unseen, in the cockpit's embrace,

Guiding the steel wings, a god in this space.

In the heart of battle, where chaos ignites,

Ares descends, empowering the fights.

Through clouds and through fire, a guardian’s might,

Echoes of valor, the warrior's flight.

As the Black Hawk soars, in defense of the land,

Ares commands, with a pilot’s hand.

Maxwell O’Reilly

Winter Painting

 My Painting This Winter:

My winter canvas, a vivid sight,

Snow stained crimson, a startling light

Falls like blood, scorching land’s might,

Drought, a plague, in the dead of night.

On the distant horizon, naught remains,

Shattered fragments, starry domains,

Extinguished stars, mere dust’s gains,

Transformed universe, death's dark stains.

The universe shifts, death and decay,

My painting aflame, in fiery display,

Carved by stone fingers, a solemn array,

Each withered branch, a letter's relay.

Fire ablaze, night and sky it takes,

Fiery meteors, the crimson lake,

Desiring not paradise, friendships to forsake,

Alone I sail, in seas yet to awake.

To depths immense, where air ignites,

In my lungs, seafoam’s tender bites,

Embracing shadows, in their poetic rites,

From death’s shriek, a phoenix ignites.

Maxwell O’Reilly

Black Hawk

 Black Hawk

In skies of valor, swift and strong,

Soars the Black Hawk, a noble song.

Its blades, a symphony, slicing the air,

A guardian above, with a steadfast glare.

In shadows cast, where dangers loom,

It sweeps with grace, dispelling gloom.

A sentinel in flight, a silent guide,

Through valleys deep and mountains wide.

With thunderous grace, it takes the lead,

Answering the call in times of need.

Its rotor's hum, a reassuring hymn,

A beacon of hope when the lights grow dim.

From rescue missions to fields of strife,

It serves with valor, a noble life.

A steadfast ally, courageous and true,

The Black Hawk soars, in skies of blue.

In the heart of steel, my courage thrives

As we take daring dives

Together, a team in the sky

With valorous spirits we soar high

In skies of danger we roam

In the Black Hawk cockpit I find my home

A bond unbroken forged in flight

As we cruise through endless light

From missions of honor to the horizon arc

Together we etch our valiant mark

Our tales of valor, as we go to war

Sacred vows we made, we swore

In each swift turn, a tale is told,

Of bravery, courage, unyielding bold.

Oh, Black Hawk, in your flight, we find,

A symbol of strength, in humankind's mind.

Captain

 My Captain

Climbing in the sky, to endless heights

My plane suddenly rolls and catches fire

My Engines are flaming and fuel ignites

My Jet has become a living pyre

I hear my passengers scream in fear

My rudder jams and stabilizer snaps

Looks like an inverted chandelier

This modern wonder is now a death trap

The screams and wails pierce my ears

Cannot recover from a dive or stay upright

Plunging in the tumultuous sea appears

The only way to end my passengers plight

All around me are sacred waters

I cross myself ready for the plunge

Will leave behind grieving sons and daughters

As My Jet makes her final lunge

Into the water and breaks apart

I hear the screams no longer

A piece of metal pierced my heart

I pray, O’ Lord make me stronger

To end the suffering of these souls

That was my only act of mercy

Over which I have the control

I know it will cause controversy

Was that suicide or a selfless act

Have I delivered them from consuming flames

I am sure of my sacrifice, a fact

When I hear someone call my name

It was my nightmare, my greatest fear

To lose my battle without a choice

When I fly again I will revere

The wonder of flight and rejoice

That I am the Pilot of this Jet

My passengers are safe and sound

Thank you, Captain, she says, our eyes finally met

When my landing gears safely touch the ground

Maxwell O’Reilly

Silhouette

 Silhouette

In corners of my room, I seek out death,

Peering from my window, where shadows loom,

Remnants of death in garden’s dying breath,

Edges kissed by fate, with impending gloom.

In city’s tapestry, its subtle threads,

I spy its trace where no one else can see,

My lone perception where the darkness treads,

Death's grin beneath an umbrella, it calls to me.

Inviting, its daily stroll takes flight,

A swing’s quiet creak, an aged desk’s plea,

Once laughter-filled, now wrapped in night,

Hugs a child, its touch tender and free.

Facing me, its query, "Time, yet so near?"

Continuing its rounds, its ghostly spree,

Unable to tread, burdened by sorrow’s sheer,

A mountain on my chest, a raging sea in me.

Death moves on, another ship to take,

To a distant city, leaving mine,

A cry to halt, "I'll not this journey make,"

Take my soul, depart, let our paths entwine.

In its gaze, seeing for the first or last,

A silhouette, an illusion, you see,

Eyes met, revealing truth unsurpassed,

Not death I view, but myself, Death is actually Me.

Savior

 Savior

In a cabin nestled midst snow-cloaked peaks,

Where winter's embrace paints the world in white,

I found solace in solitude, so to speak,

As cold winds whispered through the quiet night.

The fire's warm glow battled icy chills,

As heavy snow fell, blanketing all around,

'Twas then a scratching echoed through the hills,

A sound that in silence, so sharply resound.

A wounded soul sought refuge at my door,

A wolf, lost and hurt, in need of aid,

Compassion surged, heartstrings it tore,

Welcomed in, the foundation was laid.

With care and love, his wounds slowly healed,

A bond formed deep, amidst the winter's freeze,

In the solitude, our friendship revealed,

A tale etched in the forest's ancient trees.

Yet when the roads cleared, an intruder drew near,

A burglar's intent to steal, with firearm

But loyalty true, in the wolf's fierce leer,

A defender arose, shielding from harm

Fangs bared, a guardian stood by my side,

Snow and cold couldn't quell his resolve,

The burglar, met with a protector's stride,

Found refuge in fear from a wolf's resolve.

In winter's realm, where cold winds blow,

A tale was woven in the snow's deep crust,

Of friendship forged in the season's glow,

And courage shown in loyalty and trust.

He paid his precious life to protect mine

He became my Guardian; Heaven’s sign

Untamed Spirit

 Untamed Spirit

Upon the untamed mountain's crest I dwell,

Where freedom's echoes cast their potent spell.

My spirit dances with the winds that blow,

Untamed, unchained, in nature's rhythmic flow.

Above the seas' depths and the mountains' height,

I roam beneath the vast and endless light.

My primal call, a wild and fierce scream,

Echoes through valleys, like a vibrant dream.

In every untamed swoop, tales unfold,

Of instinct, survival, of the brave and bold.

No cages confine, no chains to restrain,

My untamed spirit, sovereign, shall remain.

Aphrodite

 Aphrodite

(My first officer)

In the cockpit where mortals take to air,

Aphrodite by my side, a goddess fair.

Eros' blind arrow strikes with force

Emotions surge, a mystic, unexpected course

But in the cockpit's sacred, hallowed space,

Her beauty and her grace maintain their pace.

With arrows' touch, emotions start to rise,

Yet Aphrodite's wisdom never complies.

My first officer, so wise, a gentle stream,

Navigates through my raging passion’s gleam.

Embracing love's fervent and wild call,

While steering clear of chaos' looming thrall

As pilot and goddess bound and twined,

Amidst the storm, a bond well-defined.

Eros' whims, though tempting, he may try,

Aphrodite's poise and skillful rules defy.

She takes a professional and steadfast stand,

Breaking my heart with her clear command.

"Captain, watch out, we are losing speed

A stall will crash this metal steed

Disaster looms, flames threaten our name,

She urges, "Pitch nose down, reduce the bank!

Give more power," though my heart sank

Recovering swiftly from near disaster

My heart still beating faster and faster

I ascend to clouds beyond Eros' range,

Gazing at my first officer, that was strange.

Though my weaknesses were briefly exposed,

Her calm, composed demeanor juxtaposed.

"Great job, Captain," she calmly replied

"Enough of Blue Angels' games," she implied

Ashamed, I ponder my heart and brain's flight,

The sky, my true domain, holds honor bright.

Journeying onwards to our destination with pride

Captain and first officer, side by side

Eros

 Eros’ Arrow

In skies where gods and mortals meet,

Eros' arrow, an unforeseen feat,

Strikes my plane in flight so true,

A tale of myth now lived anew

Passion surged, emotions high,

A pilot's heart, an endless sky.

My engines surged, danger in the air

Fate's design, a daring affair

But skill and training, steadfast guide,

Amidst the storm, they stand beside.

Quick decisions, instincts keen,

In chaos, clarity's unseen sheen.

Though myth and reality entwine,

My expertise, a beacon's shine.

A chance for safety, swift to see,

From crash to calm, possibility.

So let the saga find its end,

With strength and skill, I will transcend.

In skies where gods and mortals blend,

My wings of safety, I will defend.

Silver Eagle

 Silver Eagle

Part 2

The Silver Eagle, soared bold and free,

Above the clouds, in dreams of fantasy

The boy once dreamed, longing to fly

Hover with the wind, embrace the sky

In words penned young, ‘ere the sudden fall

Imagining future, the air force call

High amidst the heavens, a burning throne

Destiney awaited to claim my own.

The winds of fate, they shifted, unforeseen,

A heart's abrupt arrest, at death scene

No thundering Eagle’s scream

Nightmare clad as a beautiful dream

Of silence, where a heart lost his beat

Reviving it was not an easy feat

Grounded, yet soaring in a different light,

The Eagle's wings clipped, a divergent flight.

Fate intervened, it dealt an unexpected hand

A destiny altered, to chaos shifting sands

Dreams were crushed and my soul shattered

With the gust of the scorching wind scattered

The flaming orb shines no more

A deathly throne, that I abhor

I flew to the Sun and burnt my wing

I’m no longer a pilot, no longer King

No more let life divide, but intertwine,

What Death and life together shall define.

The Eagle's cry within, though altered course,

Still echoes dreams, resounding with its force.

Prophecy

 Prophecy

Apollo the Oracle, granted me a gift

To see the future, trapped in a rift

Swirling with the storm, the wind

In every poem, every story I ever penned

Prophecy came true, in uncanny ways

As if I caused the events to unfold, I may

Have drawn future’s intertwined with myth

Eventually came true, a curse or a bliss?

In a tale I penned, a pilot's fate was spun,

A crash led to silence, my story begun.

Years passed, life's course took an unexpected turn,

A heart's sudden pause, a mute feeling to discern.

Was it Apollo’s design, a prophecy made true?

Or life's intricate weave, not foreseen in view?

Through verse and rhyme, emotions find their flight,

In poetry's realm, where shadows alight

A story once penned, now echoes in life's art,

Not self-fulfilled, but a journey, a poetic heart.

Silent in some ways, yet words paint the hue,

Expressing depths unseen, in lines fresh and true.

My life’s odyssey, expressed in poetic chart

Myth and Fate entwined in my silent heart
