Thunderstorm
Lightning cracked with a deafening roar,
Thunder rumbled, shaking the sky’s core
The thunderstorm unleashed its fierce reign
Drowning the peaks with frozen rain
The eagle's wings, once strong and proud,
Were struck by lightning, in a thunderous shroud.
Feathers aflame, he tumbled down,
A majestic beast, wearing a bloody crown
With courage undying, he fought the pain
A fallen hero in the pouring rain.
Amidst the tempest's relentless might,
He spiraled downward, losing height
But in his amber eyes, a fiery spark,
Refused to be quenched by the dark
Though his wings were shattered, spirit ablaze,
He gazed upward through the stormy haze.
That shattered his heart, broke his wings
His spirit is resilient, a mighty King
In him the phoenix is now awake
The thunderstorm's fury, it will break
He rose from the ashes and laid his claim
Engulfed the world in his bloodied flames
