Eagle of majestic and sweeping wings
Beware of Death her arrows she flings
She is thirsty for your immortal blood
Her arrows fly like an overwhelming flood
Death has reaped the fruit of her deed
The Eagle’s heart began to bleed
His feathers bloodied with a fatal dart
He pulled the shaft from his quivering heart
He lay struck when the sun had set
Was Death weeping in awe and regret
She is thirsty for your immortal blood
Her arrows fly like an overwhelming flood
Death has reaped the fruit of her deed
The Eagle’s heart began to bleed
His feathers bloodied with a fatal dart
He pulled the shaft from his quivering heart
He lay struck when the sun had set
Was Death weeping in awe and regret
He crawled into his weeping nest
That drank the blood of his bleeding chest
Where life once flourished is now a void
Youth and hope are now destroyed
His wings beat higher in glorious heaven
Where the tempest clouds are driven
A storm that soars high toward the sun
His spirit immortal, his breath is done
The tomb cannot bind his spirit no more
A reborn phoenix he will rise and soar
That drank the blood of his bleeding chest
Where life once flourished is now a void
Youth and hope are now destroyed
His wings beat higher in glorious heaven
Where the tempest clouds are driven
A storm that soars high toward the sun
His spirit immortal, his breath is done
The tomb cannot bind his spirit no more
A reborn phoenix he will rise and soar
From ashes to light from the eternal dust
The wind around him whirled in a violent gust
The pyre is set ablaze by his fiery breath
In his presence there is no room for Death
The wind around him whirled in a violent gust
The pyre is set ablaze by his fiery breath
In his presence there is no room for Death
