Broken Heart
My life ebbs like tides on the shore
In my core, pain and despair evermore
With each heartbeat, a chance so frail
My heart might yield to fate's cruel trail
In shadows cast, a heart's lament
The whispers of a life misspent
Besieged by a calamity unseen, unknown
A battle fought, in each inarticulate moan
Through days and nights, the burden bears
A weight of worries, endless cares
The hopes, the dreams, they start to fade
As heart disease takes its cruel cascade
In this fight, I'm left to face,
No light shines in the darkest place
No whisper of love, no gentle embrace
Waiting for everlasting Grace
In memories woven, what life must I endure?
For this disease, there is no cure.
For I must face this suffering alone
For whatever sin, I must atone
Time to raise my wings on high
Embrace Fate's cruelty, say goodbye
For in the face of fate's decree
Death will set my spirit Free
