Farewell
In demons' grasp, the heart did seize,
A quiver of pain, a silent squeeze.
A jolt of pain, when the ICD shocked,
The incensed gods it severely mocked
Brought the heart back to sinus rhythm,
A remedy or a devilish exorcism.
With drugs in hand, a numbing balm,
A fleeting hope, a soothing calm.
Yet in the depths, the darkness crept
A whispering void, where demons wept
A desperate mind, in disbelief,
In silent cries, seeking relief.
Sought a panacea, injected into a vein,
The strongest dose to end the pain.
To break the chains that bind inside,
Keep your empathy and moral guide.
Alone, I will erase this needless strife,
And bid farewell to the “precious” life.
