Hades
In the depths of shadows, I've reigned so long
A kingdom of silence, where departed souls belong
I am the God of death, a somber King
My Kingdom a Silent Tomb, where no muses sing
Aching weariness grips my ancient heart
A longing for peace, a fresh brand new start.
A decision made, a new path to find
To quit this misery I’ve made up my mind
As god of death, I've held the key,
Guiding souls to torment in eternity.
Yet solitude weighs upon my soul,
A relentless struggle, a heavy toll.
With a heavy heart, I left my throne
Seeking solace on my own
To find release from this eternal chore,
Embrace the void forevermore.
With bated breath, I walked the land,
Seeking an end, a destiny grand.
But death's embrace eluded me,
A fate as unyielding as the sea.
In realms of light, I searched in vain,
My desire for peace remained a chain.
I found no respite, no rest in life,
Only the echoes of endless strife.
Life above was not my place
A void within, in darkness embrace
Back in my realm, I took my rightful place,
Embracing shadows, the familiar space.
For death and I are one, forever tied,
Inseparable, reign side by side.
So here I stand, a god resigned,
To guide the departed, souls entwined.
My longing silenced, my purpose clear,
Hades, the guardian of all held dear.
