Wildfire

 Wildlife

In a world of fury, where flames did roar,

Wildlife raged, through our small town, they tore.

Lives, both animal and human, were at stake,

As the wildfire's embrace, no one could shake.

Once, I soared high, with wings of might,

A failing heart grounded me from that fight.

Now the blaze devours both life and land,

Chaos reigns with a lethal hand.

Yet, the town's fate hung in the smoky air,

I couldn't stand by, I had to dare.

In a weathered chopper I took to the sky,

With courage aflame, I was ready to fly.

Through billowing smoke and fiery haze,

I had to find my way through this perilous maze.

The town's salvation was my only goal,

As through the raging wildfire, I'd patrol.

Through the smoke and fierce red glare,

I fought the inferno, with a heart full of care.

Hovering low, I unleashed water and foam,

Taming the beast, and guiding it home.

Rescuing lives with each valiant spin,

Fighting the pain and turmoil within.

Smoke, a silent creeping wreath claimed its toll,

Its tendrils linger in my very soul.

With strength and resolve, I saved the town's grace,

In the face of disaster, I found my place.

A valiant pilot, though my wings may be frail,

I altered the fate, rewrote the tale.

In the quiet of my healing bed,

The story of my courage wildly spread.

Though smoke and fire, I inhaled,

I saved the town, though my heart ultimately failed.
