A Pilot’s Dream

 A Pilot’s Dream

In dreams aloft, where stars align,

A boy soared high, his heart did pine,

Yearned to pierce the sky's vast might,

To paint his tale in celestial flight.

Black Hawk through clouds, its noble glide,

My soul with valor, strongly tied,

For my country's sake, I served true,

Through skies, my daring journey flew.

But illness claimed those wings one day,

Yet in my soul, the dreams still sway.

For every night, within my sight,

I soar through heavens, gleaming bright.

No wings to wear, no plane's respite,

But in my heart, the pilot's might,

My spirit soars to boundless height,

In dreams of flight, eternal light.

A pilot's dream, bold and wild,

My story lives in every child.
