"I Am Dragon"
In days of old, dragon’s curse
Their eggs ceased hatching; realms adverse
King Magnus, in desperate strive
Mated a human, destiny to revive
From their union, a mute child came,
Beauty uncanny, yet shunned in blame.
Fiery curls, eyes like jade aglow ,
Rejected, abused, a world in woe
Sixteen years, a fateful turn,
Dragon King arrived, his heart did churn.
Anger ablaze, a village in fear,
Mother's plea fell on deaf ears.
The Child roared, a sound unknown,
Fiery wings sprouted; transformation shown.
Protector risen, in fierce display
Faced the King, to protect and slay
Dragon is born, fierce and bold
The Mother in panic, quickly told
Her son the truth of his majestic birth
Endowed with powers to shake heaven and Earth
Truth revealed, though mistreated past,
Guardian's choice, a steadfast cast.
Though scorned and bruised, in heart's reign,
A guardian forever, in humanity's domain.
